Abstract:

This session intends to explore the dynamic software, and applications Google has put
out over the past few years for education, and how this is a viable option for startup schools.

Education has advanced tremendously over the past decade, this of course is due
technological improvements with the Internet, and development of “The Cloud.” The
multimillionaire pioneering search engine company “Google” happened to see the need for
collaboration, fusion, and innovation in schools across the world, therefore creating the
Google Apps Suite which happens to being one of the most versatile, economical, and
productive software on the market. There are a number of .key elements to the Google Apps
Suite: Docs, Slides, SpreadSheets, Classroom, Gmail, Calendar, Sites, Groups, Google+, and
YouTube.The 4 key applications that will be discussed in this session are; Google docs, Slides,
Spreadsheets, and Classroom. After a short debriefing of these 4 applications, attendees will
have an opportunity to participate in a short demo of the 4 applications discussed earlier.
Through the short demo, attendees will get a glimpse of what types of collaboration, fusion,
and innovation Google applications can provide.
