VI)The person responsible for the lost, soiled, or
damaged material must complete the compensation
process within one-month of being notified by the
Library.
(1) If the compensation process for lost, soiled, or
damaged items exceeds the one-month grace
period, a daily fine of NT$2 will be charged until
the issue is resolved. If the responsible person
fails to complete the compensation process within
the grace period, the Academic Affairs Office will
be notified of a violation, which may prevent the
student from registering, withdrawing, or
graduating.
(2) To prevent abuse of the rules for reporting lost,
soiled, or damaged material, if a lost item is
returned to the library at a later date, the
responsible person must still pay all overdue
fines.
VII)In the event that audiovisual materials are damaged or
lost, the replacement compensation must be completed
within forty-five (45) days from the reported date,
following the procedure and order of preference
outline below:
(1) The responsible person will purchase and return
an identical audiovisual material with public
performance rights.
(2) If an audiovisual item is not available on the
market, the borrower must obtain permission from
the librarian to forgo replacing the item and
instead compensate the library with a cash
payment three times (2X) the original price of the
material with public performance rights.
