Library Code of Conduct
Article 1 This code is designed to maintain an orderly and clean
library environment, ensuring better service for all
patrons.
Article 2 The library is open during its regular hours of operation,
which are posted on the bulletin board outside the library
and on the library website. Any changes will be
announced on the bulletin board, the website, and via
email to faculty, staff, and students.
Article 3 Library books and materials must be borrowed by an
eligible individual using their own ID card. Anyone
found using another person's ID card to borrow library
books or materials will be referred to the appropriate
department for disciplinary action.
Article 4 Only water is allowed in the library. Other drinks and
food are prohibited.
Article 5 The library must be kept quiet. Cell phones should be set
to silent or vibrate mode before entering.
Article 6 No equipment or furniture should be moved or
rearranged without asking permission from the librarians.
Article 7 Sleeping is not allowed in the library.
Article 8 Before leaving the library, study areas should be cleaned,
trash should be disposed of, and all library books and
materials should be placed on the return cart.
Article 9 Reserving seats is not allowed. If an individual leaves
their seat for more than half an hour, library staff have
the right to remove all unattended personal items so that
the seat can be used by others. The librarians are not
responsible for the safekeeping of personal items left
behind. These items will be turned over to SAMO.
