short-term programs’ enrollment increased by 67.6%, and Mandarin learner students
increased by 65.5%. Along with the increase of partner schools, the numbers of exchange
students increased more than two-fold in 2014–2015 compared to 2011–2012.
2. Secondly, SU established its Center for Big Data Analysis and Research and the
EXALEAD Big Data application development platform for information intelligence in
2014. The following year, the School of Big Data Management, the first and the only one
of its kind in Taiwan, gained approval from the MOE and has started recruiting new
students. SU will seamlessly match its offerings with the demands from local industries,
providing graduates with professional talent and practical skills in the field of big data
information systems to local industry.
