Jesus Christ – The Only Foundation
Thoughts after attending the International
Conference on Christian Education

My first reaction upon reviewing the conference
is thankfulness! In March, a group of teachers and
administrators from WG School in China had the
privilege of attending an International Conference on
Christian Education at Christ’s College Taipei(CCT).
By God’s grace, WG School has been established
for seven years. During those years, we have often
felt lonely running a Christian school in an atheistic
environment. Being able to meet other Christian
educators and leaders from all over the world at the
conference has encouraged us a lot and broadened our
view of Christian education.
The key verse of the conference was 1 Corinthians
3:11, “For no one can lay any foundation other than the
one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.” This verse tells welcome. The students led worship well and
us that Jesus Christ is the only foundation for everything the college treated us to dinner in hotels. We
we do. Our faith should be based on Christ and
our education should be based on our faith.
Therefore, our education is based on Christ, and
that’s why we believe so strongly in Christian
education. It is the only education based on the
one, sure Foundation. From the outside, it does
seem like we are short of resources compared
to the public education system, but we believe
in the importance of such education and we are
confident of our Foundation.
We also want to give thanks to CCT because
of how much they have done hosting this
conference. The faculty, staff and students
were all very passionate and gave us a warm
