The Emperor of the Persian Empire took his arm and escorted him to the door.
“You must proceed to your house immediately for rest, O Daniel. I shall send the
messenger to call Zerubbabel myself.” Great concern for Daniel could be seen on the
fine face of Cyrus, as he watched him depart with slow and feeble steps and ordered
two court-guards to accompany him to his house.
