Page 12 - The Basic Conflict between Christianity and Communism
P. 12

Karl Marx was a German-Jew who was born in the town of Treves in the Rhineland

in the year 1818. He came of a long line of Jewish rabbis, though his own father was a
lawyer and his own immediate family made profession of Christianity when Marx
was a small lad. He, however, abandoned religion entirely at an early age and
committed himself outright to atheistic materialism.

It is interesting to note that this remarkable race that we know as the Jews, have
throughout history been associated with the best of things in this world or with the
worst. From the days of Abraham that magnificent son of Chaldea, who lived about

four thousand years ago, they were chosen of God as a special people, and to them
were committed a special testimony concerning Himself. Every book of the Bible
with the exception of two was written by a full-blooded member of this race, and the
author of those two was a half-Jew. Designed and commanded to be a spiritual

blessing to the whole world and to draw them to a worship of the One True God, if
and when they carried out the Divine commission they were uniquely blessed of God.
But when they turned aside from this high and holy calling they seem to have had the
capacity to sink lower than the heathen about them in the abominations of their

idolatries for which, after many vicissitudes, they were allowed of God to be removed
from their land and to lose their autonomy altogether. After the crucifixion of Jesus
Christ, at which time they called down a curse upon themselves, saying “His blood be
upon us and upon our children,” they were scattered to the ends of the earth, dwelling

for the most part as an unabsorbed people among the Gentile nations.

In general, so far from being a blessing to the nations, they have been a problem
people, the objects of suspicion and hatred and persecution, some of which were

undeserved but much of which was deserved.

Having crucified their true Messiah and having continued to reject Him through the
centuries, they have refused the revealed fact that Jesus Christ will return to this earth,

restore the Godly remnant of Israel, establish His Golden Age and His reign of peace
over the nations and they have turned aside to hatch a millennium of their own. For
this reason Jews have been found in the forefront of every modern subversive
movement. It would be foolish even to imply that all Jews are subversives or that all

subversives are Jews, but the above statement stands. The same principle set forth
above can be noted among the theological left-wingers within the Christian church.
Having cast away the authority of the Holy Scriptures and having embraced a phoney
and an emasculated Christianity, they are seen to drift to the left in their political
thinking and sympathies. We will have more to say of this later—apostates in religion
